I love this fridge but theres one thing I dont like. We dont use the in door dispenser for ice only for water. But ice gets in the shoot and melts leaving calcium? deposits on the bottom and side of the dispenser area.

Defective Water Filter

We loved every aspect of this refrigerator until the water filter malfunctioned 1 week after purchase. Customer service for LG informed me that the water filter for this model is defective and assured me they would send a replacement that would arrive within 7 - 10 days. Here I am 2 weeks later with no replacement water filter. When I called today there was much confusion but after I was finally routed to an agent who could help I was informed that the previous agent never ordered the replacement. We paid a healthy price for this refrigerator and would simply like to enjoy all of the amenities of this beautiful appliance.

If I could give zero stars I would. I got 4 refrigerators I total and each one came more damaged that the first one. I ended up keeping the last one and have been waiting for my damage allowance for about 4 months now and still dont know when I will receive. I have called over 20 times and spoken to multiple reps and asked to speak with a supervisor and cant get one to call me back. I used to love LG product but as bad as their service is I might even consider going back to Samsung and their product is terrible. The customer service for LGs product is terrible.

Their customer service is the WORST EVER Ordered it two weeks ago and it says it has shipped out. No tracking information is provided. Just says shipped out. Today is 12/16 and the system says estimated delivery is 12/6. ha.. I calld the customer Service and all they do is put me on hold for 1hr and says i need to contact logistic. I called them no answer. I called back customer service and now they dont even listen. They cut me off while I am speaking and transfer me over to logistic where they never pickup. I dont know what to do at this point? I am a Pro member but they still treat you like a garbage

Biggest piece of expensive piece of junk

Against my better judgemental after having trouble with 1st refrigerator bought the same one again. What a mistake fridge had 2 ice makers and neither work. Wanted to make sure if one wasnt working properly I would have the other. My mom is going thru chemo and only way she will drink is if there is ice on it. Second the refrigerator goes off completely for 10 seconds or so. Rep said it can take as long as five days before they give me a call back to ser up an app. Tried to explain that my mom is going thru chemo and the only way she will drink anything is if it has ice in it. They dont care.

First the left door shelf cracked now only after 6 months water stopped dispensing spoke with customer rep multiple times did everything as I was told and now we have to wait two weeks for them to send repair person to come out and fix. Late Delivery - No Communication

Extremely frustrated with LG. My appliances were delayed far beyond the scheduled delivery date with no clear communication or accountability. Because of this my old appliances had to sit in the hall which not only caused major inconvenience but also led to extra charges I should never have had to pay. This is completely unacceptable from a company of LGs size. When customers spend thousands of dollars on appliances the very least they should expect is reliable delivery and transparency. Instead LGs delays created unnecessary stress added costs and wasted time. I will think twice before purchasing from LG again and I strongly caution others to consider how poorly they handle delivery commitments.

Inconsistent temperatures

This refrigerator has wildly inconsistent temperatures. We have had 2 gallons of milk spoil even though the fridge is set at 37 and the app says it is cooling well. Installed several thermometers and they were reading 40-42 in the fridge. Had to set the refrigerator temp down to 34 to have the main area hold 36 while the door is still reading 40. A repairman came out and told us the temp was within acceptable specs so he could do nothing with the refrigerator. The best he could do was enter the refrigerator into a program where LG is monitoring the refrigerator. Its getting expensive throwing milk away. Will no longer be storing milk in the door even though it was designed to access milk without opening the entire refrigerator. Too expensive of a refrigerator to not work properly. Disappointed

4 Years Old and Falling Apart

Its a beautiful refrigerator/freezer and I liked it for a little over 3 years. The top freezer drawer keeps frosting up. We had the seals replaced but that didnt fix it. We ordered new rails for the drawer about a month ago but theyre still 3 weeks out. Now the ice buildup is getting the fan. When i open the drawer I can bang the back wall in front of the fan and the ice falls off but thats temporary. Now its displaying error codes for the freezer-FF and fridge-F. I have to pull out the fridge and unplug/plug it back in. That was yesterday. Today 4/4 water started leaking from behind the water dispenser all over the floor so I had to shut the water off. Now we wont have water or ice.

What is this thin film?????

I just had this unit delivered and had it for a week. I was happy with what appeared to be a finish or a adhesive film on the doors to reduce fingerprints. I noticed a small tear on the film and now a blemish on the front door. At this point Im not sure if I should completely removed this thin film off all the refrigerator panels or not. I dont think the flim is suppose to be removed like the protective film the manufacturer put on units at the factory to protect it during transport. Is PrintProof feature on this model actually a treated stainless or is it the this film like a window tinting film a barrier to keep the fingerprints off the stainless?? Theres nothing about it in the manuals.

The interior is perfect with just the right amount of space for all different heights of items. Nice fridge but the customer service from LG is horrible. Fridge is not freezing or cooling and this is such a problem that there is a class action lawsuit because of this issue. LGs solution is to wait for an authorized technician to come out and diagnose so we called Best Buy and it would be weeks before they could get out to diagnose the problem. So I called sears and they came fairly quick within a couple of days and diagnosed with a bad compressor which is the reason for the class action lawsuit. LGs solution is to wait 3 to 5 more business days to have another technician to come out and say the same thing. Stay away from LG

Update on my ice tasting like plastic. Tech came out again and did absolutely nothing for the 3rd time. The tech said that he replaced the ice makers which now I know was a lie. The tech never removed anything in the lower freeze to replace that ice maker. I know because I purchased both ice makers on Amazon and I had to remove the food to get to the ice maker after replacing both ice makers I no longer have bad tasting ice. Thanks for nothing LG

This LG fridge is exactly what our family needs. We love the drawer space and it is perfect for snacks and easy to grab things for our kids. The dual ice makers ensure we always have plenty of ice and functions well. The bottom freezer is very spacious and provides more than enough room for plenty of vegetables and quick dinners. Only thing I wish was different is the selector for the water/ice in the door. Our previous one we had you would select ice water crushed ice by pushing the icon for what you want this one you have to cycle through. Not a game breaker but still something we are getting used to. Would definitely recommend this refrigerafor and very happy with our purchase.

This is a well made refrigerator with some nice features and some room for improvement. It took me a while to adjust to having door handles under the bottom of the door -it seems inconvenient when you are holding groceries in your hand and want to open the door at the same time. However ive gotten used to them and there are handles on the top of the doors too which I find make it easier for me open the doors. I am not a fan of the see thru door because it doesnt really offer value - but the fact that the front panel opens up without having to open the door is nice. The lighting is great and the vegetable bins are huge - almost too big because there is less room for items on the shelves and the shelves really cant be rearranged because doing so would make one shelf extremely minimal in height. Compared to our last refrigerator the quality of the plastic drawer inserts in the deli drawer and freezer are lower quality. Theyre not awful but they are smaller and lighter and do not look as sturdy. The best features are the ice makers - both produce a lot of ice and work well. But most refrigerators have problems with in-door ice makers because they are not insulated enough to stay cold - so overtime I am expecting it to fail but appreciate the freezer ice maker. Love the fingerprint free exterior - although fingerprints are a bit noticeable on the black glass but that is expected. Overall it works well and has nice features including wifi to monitor the temp.

The new LG refrigerator is a new step in to an amazing home upgrade. This one excited me with the sleek design and modern look with a technical upgrade that can fit any home style need in this category. It allowed me to use a Special app that lets you customize the fridge from your phone with inventory lists ice making notifications power usage monitor customization of temp in each section of the fridge not one but two ice makers and a function to change the color of your fridge for all the late night snack bandits to enjoy a fresh beverage or snack. There is lots of room to organize all your food types like vegetables meats and cheeses. My favorite part of the fridge is the tempered class door as a man its great to see how much of my favorite beverage is left before I need to restock it for another go. It was easy to set up and install and fit snug into a normal size fridge location. Recommend measuring everything before buying just to be safe. All in all its a 10 out of 10 for me and fits my family and the wants and needs like the perfect new paint job on a car

LG Smart view French Door Refrigerator

We recently upgraded to the LG Refrigerator from a side-by-side model. Our first impressions are extremely positive. At first we were nervous that it might be too large for the space we have but it fits perfectly. Lets start with the Flex Drawer. For our first try at this we decided to use it to store beverages cans bottles. water etc. and it is incredibly convenient. The preset temperatures are a breeze to use and easy to figure out even on first use. The ThinQ app is an interesting touch. It occasionally will send messages about how frequently weve opened the door or that we havent used the ice and even suggests when to refresh the ice in the bottom freezer. That extra ice is a nice bonus also. One of my pet peeves about our previous refrigerator was how much noise it made. I am very happy to report In the time that weve used the LG the difference is very noticeable. The LG operates 100 more quietly. that is a big positive . Oh and it looks good as well. Overall this refrigerator has been an impressive purchase.

Refrigerator this refrigerator is the best its thinQ application makes it better since you can configure several modes either by changing colors or configuring the refrigerator I also like instaview door in door because just by giving a few small touches to the glass door it lights up and You can see inside without having to open the door its LED lighting makes the colors more vibrant and improved as well as saving energy another thing that I really liked is that when the doors are closed they are silent but very airtight which will help me a lot now They seal perfectly well and no cold air escapes anywhere. It also has a drawer that you can program either just to cool drinks or to freeze as you prefer and its water and ice dispenser is the best. It works very well I I love this refrigerator it is the best I recommend it.

Solid Refrigerator

This is a solid refrigerator with a few interesting features including a customizable drawer that you can use for extra freezer space refrigerator space or for wine. We opted to use it for wine storage. The door with window comes in handy when you want to see inside without opening. Just turn on the light by knocking. The customizable color for the door light is an interesting feature but unnecessary for me. Theres a ton of space in both the refrigerator and freezer. We ended up taking a shelf out because it wasnt needed and would give us extra space for taller items. I love the option of having ice to scoop from the tray in the freezer or just getting it from the door. I wish there was an option to make whiskey ball ice in the freezer but this would probably make this refrigerator even more expensive. The app isnt as useful as I was hoping. It seems to only be useful for statistics and to set a color and timer for the door light. Hopefully more features will come in future updates. Overall this is a solid fridge and weve have no problems so far and no big complaints. The price is reasonable for the features it offers and a major upgrade from our previous refrigerator. Would definitely recommend looking at this as an option for your next refrigerator.

So far I am really happy with this new refrigerator. It is customizable with the door color and interchangeable drawer which is handy One small complaint I have is that the width of the door shelves is so thin not a lot fits. And I wish the shelves were slightly taller more space in between because regular things like a gallon of milk wont fit standing upright. The depth of the shelves are great though. The water dispenser is easy to use and works well and i like the extra ice in the freezer as well. The two drawers in the freezer is a nice feature for keeping things more organized. Overall I would recommend this fridge. The app is also really handy for switching settings in the appliance too

Whats not to like about this LG four door fridge? Where do I begin? This fridge is spacious and well thought out. I particularly like the ability of o move the shelves and customize the middle drawer to cool or freezer. This is our first bottom freezer and I have quickly grown to love it the usability is great. I think my favorite thing is ice in the freezer and door. Or maybe my favorite feature is the soft close doors. The friendly beep to remind you if a door is open is extremely helpful. A great fridge with many wonderful options

First time I truly feel in control of my food.

With my previous refrigerators organizing space for different food groups was a challenge and new items or leftovers would end up shoved wherever they fit. This made it difficult to track what needed to be eaten first and what supplies I already had often leading to spoiled food and an excess of condiments. Now everything has a designated spot and even large items like full pots of stew fit easily. I also love the middle drawer which Ive designated as my sandwich station and the bottom freezer with a second shelf for easy access without having to dig around for frozen items. Plus I use the Door-in-Door daily to quickly check if I have enough lettuce for my bunny. My favorite feature is the soft-close hinges which prevent the doors from slamming shut no more jostled condiments The only feature I found unnecessary is the MoodUP color-changing light its a bit extra for me but I still show it off to my friends and family

This lg refrigerator is a must have for kids that like to keep the door open while searching for something thats not even in the fridge. Lol we have enjoyed having the different color lights and being able to use the app to change setting is a nice thing considering the old styles setting was hidden or in the way. Soft close doors means you dont have to worry about something getting knocked over when kids dont replace things where they go. The convertible drawer is a nice addition as well this way we can use it for frozen pizzas when needed or extra drinks for partys. Overall we like this style of refrigerator and am glad we purchased it.

I am Enjoying this new refrigerator. Its very large inside and we can fit so many large containers of milk for the whole family which equals less trips to the store. Everything stays nice and cold. We can monitor the temperature and settings with the thin iq app. The doors hold less on the left side than my old fridge but the right side door and just massive interior make up for this. The doors also quietly close on their own which is a super nice feature. I sometimes worry the front display door with the inside fragile clip for the seal may break easily since this one requires self push to close and you need to be careful for this reason. The drawers are very light weight. Theres extra ice in the freezer for on the go. The ice maker works very well and makes a lot of ice. My children like to roll Open the freezer to grab ice pops out and icecream. There are much less finger prints than my old refrigerator. My daughter loves the purple door color. You can select the color and for how long up to 8 hours a day I believe on how long each color displays. Its a nice kitchen night light and will get use during day light savings time when darkness sets in. We are loving this lg fridge. Best feature is the space

This fridge is sleek modern and looks great in our kitchen. Its packed full of fun features such as an all inclusive smart app a quick access door and 2 ice cube makers While we do enjoy our fridge and appreciate the features I feel this could be a bit better for the price. The inside is a little cheap feeling especially the middle drawer. Smart App: The app allows you to control the basics from a click of a button. While its nice to be able to adjust the temperature of the fridge from your couch Im not sure how useful it really is. The analytics are fun and interesting such as power consumption water filter life expectancy and notifications when the door is left open. Its a neat feature but I wished it contained something like a camera so I can see what I have in my fridge at any given time. The only true feature of the app is being notified when the door was left open. I also dont have kids so thats a rarity but itll chime before I get too far anyways. Ice / water: I love the ice machines on this The ice is the perfect shape and having 2 makes a real difference. The water comes out a little slow but otherwise is great. Switching from water to ice sometimes takes several presses and not the most intuitive. The app does not notify you how long the ice has been sitting and suggests you to dump after 7 days. Seems a little short but interesting feature. Overall space management: Having a French door is night and day different from a 2 door that we upgraded from. We had a French door at our previous place which was similar to this one. We love how deep it goes but it does stick out a decent bit from the cabinets. Not sure the back of the fridge is super usable anyways but nice to have the space. I was super excited for the window quick access door but in reality its not as useful The shelves are the only convenient place to put condiments which takes up most of the real-estate on the right hand door. The left hand door has narrow shelves which is good for smaller items like butter and nutritional bars. Items that are great grab and go items or heavily used. I wish I could make better use out of the quick access door but organizationally it doesnt make practical sense to keep certain item there. Overall I would recommend this fridge. Its a great smart fridge packed with features.

We love our new LG refrigerator. The refrigerator has plenty of space the shelves are easy to organize and the drawer is a great addition for our young family. We love the fact that the refrigerator has two ice makers one in the door and an additional bin in the freezer. We havent run out of ice since we got it. We really like the ability to change the color in the insta view keeping it green in the morning. The app is easy to connect and provides a lot of functionality such as brightness of the lights at night. Overall would definitely recommend this refrigerator

We received our refrigerator about 2 weeks ago and absolutely love this produce. We looked at all the models on the floor at Best Buy. We wanted a door-in-door model and this model was perfect. It has about 1 CF less space but actually seems to have more room inside. The frig fit perfectly in our space. We love the 4 doors and especially the drawer that we can set to either frig or freezer. It comes with one divider but we were able to order 2 more. Also we love the two ice makers. The in door ice maker is perfect while the in freezer ice maker allows us to have enough ice for weekend or holiday events with friends or family. We wanted the frig in white but this model only comes in stainless. However the frig does look great in our kitchen and fits well with our other white applicancees. The option to change light color in the see through door is great. It is crazy but the app will send a message if the doors are left open and we can set the alarm tone. The water and air filters are easy to access which was not the case in our previous frig. This frig is very quiet and the control panel which is inside on right side is easy to access and operate. The frig drawers for fruit or vegetables are large and access is convenient. Excellent product

I was really excited to get this refrigerator but I am underwhelmed. Its not bad - its got some great capabilities but there is a lot that could be improved. Pros include: - great size - shelves do not have goofy splits or sliding parts - they better enable fitting wide items - ice maker in freezer where it belongs - app to track and manage key capabilities - the french doors close by themselves slowly - which is a nice feature but only if they are in motion to be closed Cons include: - quality of drawers interior is lacking. Cheap plastic - drawers dont roll well - the vegetable and fruit drawers are enormous and take up too much room so that there is no way to have any item on a shelf that is taller than 7 inches. - The only place tall items can go is on the right door - on the bottom shelf - which is not a lot of room since most people will have a gallon of milk on the bottom shelf. This is a huge issue in my mind because it means lots of things must go on their side on a shelf in the center - the see thru door is ok but i dont see the value - the bigger value is that you can open up the front seethru panel without opening the door and easily access items on the door. - There are two icemakers thankfully because having one in the door means two things - First the shelves on the left door are virtually useless. here they are also poor quality and super tiny. Second the icemaker will stop working becuase its too difficult to manage the cold temperatures required inside a refrigerator - but vendors just do what consumers demand - The shelves have very minimal adjustment capabilities -- there is one empty slot where a shelf could be raised or lowered. Its really not helpful because lowering top shelf lowered for lager items means the middle shelf will be aobut 3-4 of space. Past referigerators always hadhad mutliple shelf heights with slots that were 1/2-1 inch apart. This fridge has plastic shelf guards built in that shelves rest on. The veg and fruit bins are so high that they eat into shelf space that would be useful - and the quality of the bins is really subpar The reason I gave it a Yes to recommend is that it has large capacity and has nice options like the app and its ability to adjust temp etc the see thru door if you like it. Compared with other refrigerators this has used cheap thin plastic where there used to be metal and I dont see it lasting. Hope I am wrong. Its very average and typical for todays market.

The LG Smart Instaview fridge is a real upgrade from my previous not so smart fridge. The ThinQ app was very easy to setup and it connected to my fridge almost instantly. It is very easy to adjust the fridge and drawer temperatures to your liking in a matter of seconds. The section where you can see the energy usage is very helpful too. The instaview door in door is my favorite part. I love having the extra space for grab and go drinks and the color selection and timer setting are a bonus The soft closing doors caught me off guard at first. Its so smooth and quiet. Having a house full of kids this feature is really helpful in ensuring the doors always get closed. The water dispenser is really nice and the water flows quite quickly. I do wish that each selection was a button instead of it just being in the middle. I find my self pressing on each one everytime and realizing only the middle one works to select. I love how spacious and customizable everything is it is the centerpiece in our kitchen. I look forward to adding more LG Smart appliances to our home in the future.
